THE 71-STORY SUMOU TOWERS IN SAUDI ARABIA: CENTRAL’S STRATEGIC ADVANCEMENT IN THE MIDDLE EAST

At the invitation of SUMOU & BUNA Group, Mr. Tran Quang Tuan – Chairman and CEO of CENTRAL Construction Joint Stock Company – recently undertook a special business trip to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. CENTRAL is currently serving as the main contractor for key construction packages of the iconic Sumou Towers project – a mixed-use development comprising residential apartments and a hotel, with twin towers reaching 71 stories, located on the shores of the Red Sea.

This working visit marks a significant follow-up to the 2024 visit to Vietnam by SUMOU & BUNA’s executive leaderships, which concluded with a highly positive evaluation. It also provided Chairman and CEO of CENTRAL the opportunity to meet directly with Dr. Ayedh Farhan Al-Qahtani – Chairman of SUMOU & BUNA Group – and senior managers to review construction progress, evaluate quality, and explore deeper, long-term cooperation.

Built on a foundation of an increasingly solid partnership, these meetings have opened up various strategic opportunities for CENTRAL in the Middle East – a region currently undergoing transformative growth, particularly aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030 roadmap and preparations for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

With a pioneering spirit, the support of prestigious international partners, and a steadfast commitment to exceeding construction standards, CENTRAL continues to affirm its capabilities as a Vietnamese general contractor with a global outlook – progressively conquering new milestones in its journey of innovation and excellence.

Chairman and CEO Tran Quang Tuan held discussions with the Chairman and CEO of SUMOU Group, as well as the CEO and CSO of BUNA.

Additional highlights from the business trip:

Behind the 71-story Sumou Towers under construction by CENTRAL stands the future tallest building in the world – Kingdom Tower – projected to reach 1.1 km upon completion. Currently built up to the 64th floor, this architectural marvel is set to become a new symbol of Jeddah and a source of regional pride for the Middle East.
After several intense working days at the Sumou Towers’ site, Chairman/CEO and the PMB enjoyed a memorable break by attending the thrilling Formula 1 Grand Prix hosted in Jeddah – a high-octane experience that fostered team spirit and re-energized the group.

Concluding the four-day business trip in Saudi Arabia, CENTRAL’s leadership team will continue their journey with a three-day visit to Dubai and Qatar for further meetings with key strategic and potential partners.
