THE BUSINESS TRIP TO KOREA OF CENTRAL’S MIDDLE MANAGERS

In term of learning a newly modern construction technology in developing countries, from May 7th to May 11th, 2019, CENTRAL managers including heads of facilities, Technical, Safety and constructions have paid a visit to Huyndai, SK Group, Daewoo, a leading construction group in Korea.

After that, CENTRAL managers have an opportunity to witness GODEOK GRACIUM – 21 stories, SEOUL, constructed by SK, Daewoo, Huyndai. The group is really impressed with the professionally detailed construction progress, quality management and planning. Especially the finishing work closely follows the structural work, behind only 3 floors.

By using advanced construction methods, traditional plastering works have been eliminated, contributing considerably to reducing labor costs.

The 6 days trip has made a great impact on CENTRAL group, each members has also gained a lot of valuable experience for themselves in their jobs. Besides, the group has witnessed the process of Aluminum formwork and gangform in KumKang – one of two CENTRAL’s equipment suppliers in Korea from the very beginning.

The similarity of these constructions is advanced science, high technology in building. The change of construction materials such as using Gangform for external walls, using Ceamboard panels for room partitions in apartments or using wallpaper, wooden floors will save time of transporting materials such as brick, sand, cement as previously.

Or establishing and maintaining logistics plans on construction sites, combined with the many concrete structures that are pre-cast concrete and all reinforcements are pre-fabricated, the amount of workers and surplus materials on the construction site are almost optimal, leading to safety management very effective.

After this business trip, all Site Manager of CENTRAL will in turn, arrange to participate for the next Korean trip scheduled for July, 2019.

CENTRAL LAUNCHES “GREEN HOUR” CAMPAIGN

Following the successful of Green Day compaign in 2018, the last days of April and early May 2019 the atmosphere at CENTRAL’s construction sites became bustling and lively with the weekly Sanitation Hour campaign – GREEN HOUR.

This campaign launched by the Safety Department with goal “FOR A GREEN AND CLEAN CONSTRUCTION SITE” to raise awareness, ensure environmental hygiene at site. Join the campaign this time besides the Safety Department, Site Management Board also has the participation of the partners at the CENTRAL project.

Although newly launched in the first week, GREEN HOUR received a strong response from all brothers and sisters at most projects every Saturday afternoon.

Accordingly, Safety Department has a strong determination to maintain overall hygiene in the work / construction areas and the whole landscape around the site is always clean, tidy.

Through this meaningful activity, the campaign created excitement among the staff. At the same time, to enhance awareness of green living – friendly with nature, create a culture at work with simple actions. It’s a small habit, but it’s very effective, the spread of positive habits is great.

THE TOPPING OUT CEREMONY OF HOPE RESIDENCES

On the morning April 26, 2019, Investor Phuc Dong Housing Development and CENTRAL to organized the Topping Out Ceremony of Hope Residences.

– Owner’s representative: Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan – D.CEO, Mr. Do Hai Minh – D.CEO

-The main Contractor representative: Mr Vu Duc Tai – Executive Director, Mr Tran Dang Khoa – Project Director, Mr. Trịnh Quý – Project Director (MEP); Mr Nguyen Thai Ha – Site Manager in common with partner, supervision consultants, supplier and local government.

– Project scale: 2 basements with area of 2ha/basement, 5 21-story towers. Total construction floor area is 200.000m2

Hope Residences Project

The Hope Residences Site Management Board has set a construction record of completing foundation and 2 basements in 4 months. Construction of the body reached an average speed of 4 days/floor. This achievement mark an important milestone for the outstanding maturity of a team of 80 Supervisors, create a solid foundation for brothers and sisters to conquer all challenges ahead confidently.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Ha – Site Manager sincerely thanked to all staff in Site Management Board of Hope Residences for their cooperating and determination to complete the project objectives successfully. He also shared that many of the brothers have become more mature when they have the opportunity to experience and challenge during the construction process, since then they will be promoted to higher positions in other CENTRAL projects.

With the enthusiasm of youth, the constant fighting spirit of a whole team of Site Management Board, who are paying attention to construction to complete MEP to hand over in 12/2019 – withdraw 3 months shorter than the contract progress.

CENTRAL CONTINUES VISITED A SERIES OF NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN CONSTRUCTION SITES

Continues to the visit and encourage activities of the field in 2019. From from April 16th to April 19th, 2019, Media Dept combine with HR dept has visited and encouraged the staff in the North and South areas including Hope Residences, Vinmec Times City, Vinhomes Smart City, Thach Ban Lakeside Villas, Phenikaa University, Syrena Hotel & Apartment Complex và Grand World Phu Quoc.

Representative of the company, Ms Nguyen Duong Truc Linh (Media Manager) has expressed their interest and acknowledgment of staff contributions during the past. Thereby, Ms Truc Linh also have some encouragement and inspire to Site Management Board for more motivation to accomplish well tasks, business plan set out this year.

On morning April, 26th 2019, Hope Residences officially topping 5 Tower, 21 floors, including 2 basements 16,000 m2. At Vinmec Times City has topped out sucvessfully in Deccember, 2018 and handover for investor in June, 2019. These are two of CENTRAL’s key sites because of the “heat” of the work and the harsh “heat” of hot weather in the North of the summer.

CENTRAL BOD HAD A BUSINESS TRIP TO MALAYSIA AND JAPAN

In the first days of April 2019, CENTRAL BOD had a business trip to Malaysia and Japan.

The main objective of the trip to Malaysia was to visit GAMUDA factory of GAMUDA IBS group. It lies on an area of 11ha, CENTRAL BOD has directly identified stairs, pillars, beams and the optimization of using resources such as cement, sand and steel as well as special architectural elements. This is a great opportunity for CENTRAL BOD to learn and gain experience in the field of factory construction, from that design and construct projects at the beginning of quarter 2, 2019.

Besides, CENTRAL BOD visited some outstanding and special architectural constructions in the Kuala Lumpur city.

After the end of the business trip to Malaysia, by the invitation of Mr. Terada Osamu – Vice President SHIMIZU CORPORATION, CEO Tran Quang Tuan leaded the CENTRAL delegation including the Executive Director and leaders of the Office & Sites had a trip to visit and work in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. Terada Osamu and Senior Management of SHIMIZU welcome and worked with CENTRAL delegation at head office of the corporation with a spirit of respect and sincerity. After the working sessions, SHIMIZU BOD facilitated for CENTRAL delegation to visit the head office building and some international standard buildings of SHIMIZU such as Tokyo World Gate, D&B implementation model in Tama Medical Center project, … Especially, CENTRAL BOD was really impressive, satisfied with the technological and technical achievements when directly visiting SHIMIZU Research Institute – this is the cradle to produce many research projects to serve the construction industry of Japan and the world. Every year, SHIMIZU Research Institute organizes for thousands of students to visit and practice at the Institute. This is a prerequisite for SHIMIZU to attract talented people, develop perfectly and sustainably over time.

At the end of the business trip to Malaysia and Japan, the two trips not only end at the visiting, CENTRAL BOD has comprehended, experienced and learned a lot of knowledge and experience, thereby improving technical capacity, professional capacity and project management. CENTRAL ORGANIZIED THE MANAGEMENT TRAINING COURSE FOR MIDDLE MANAGERS

In the series of training activities in 2019, in order to improve professional knowledge for management levels, HR Department collaberated with PACE Institute of Management organized the training course “Management middle managers” (3M)

The course was designed specifically for those who are currently middle managers (Middle Manager – MM). There were 25 members joined the program including Project Directors, Site Managers, Department Managers in the Southern region. The 12-day course will give you an overview of MM and the effective management system: Knowhow a professional MM would be; Gain the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to improve the managing ability.

Management capacity generally includes “professional capacity” and “management capacity”. In most of businesses today, many people who are very professional, but not successful in the management position. The reason is they do not know how to “manage people”, do not understand the “concern” of the big boss. Or they have not yet implemented the company strategy to allocate down to the strategy of the Departments / Divisions. Because when penetrating the culture of the company, it is possible to issue the way to build culture for each member effectively.
